Understand and apply various theories and concepts that influence the study of leisure behavior and the delivery of recreation and sport services.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Analyze historical and cultural foundations of recreation and sport to evaluate their influence on contemporary practice.
Assess current trends, structures, and issues within recreation and sport services.
Develop a philosophical position on rights to leisure and recreation using evidence-based perspectives.
Apply social, behavioral, and educational theories relevant to leisure and sport studies.
Evaluate recreation and sport empirical research applicable to service delivery.
