Course Description
Examination of extreme and lifestyle sports, including the motivations for participation, the risks associated with participation, and the economy, careers, and cultures surrounding these activities.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

- Critically analyze claims, arguments, artifacts or information.
- Construct coherent, evidence-based arguments.
Recreation and Sport Management (RSM)
- Describe the characteristics of extreme sports.
- Explain the cultural components of extreme sports, including music, fashion, and attitude.
- Discuss the motivations for participation in extreme sports.
- Demonstrate an understanding of lifestyle choices and friendships made through extreme sports.
