Course Description
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communications and problem-solving in the design and application of appropriate AAC systems. Prerequisite: Students enrolled in the M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology program or permission of instructor.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Discuss the roles and responsibilities of speech language pathologists and multidisciplinary teams in AAC service delivery.
Evaluate and integrate principles of evaluation and intervention, references, and resources to promote problem-solving in the design and application of appropriate AAC systems.
