Attendance/Participation:
Your success in this course will be greatly increased by your commitment to your attendance and participation. Poor class attendance is the single most important cause of failure among students. As outlined in the UNCG Undergraduate Bulletin:
Regular class attendance is a responsibility and a privilege of university education. It is fundamental to the orderly acquisition of knowledge. Students should recognize the advantage of regular class attendance, accept it as a personal responsibility, and apprise themselves of the consequence of poor attendance.
According to the general attendance policy in the Undergraduate Bulletin, three absences are excused, unless otherwise stated in the syllabus. Excessive absences will be noted. Late arrivals to class are not premitted without prior approval from the instructor. Late arrivals are counted as absences unless excused by the instructor.
I reserve the right to drop any student from the course after three (3) absences or for any student who misses submitting 2 assignments in a row. The Withdrawal Due to Class Attendance form serves as a request to withdraw students from class due to excessive absences
