Course Description
Theories and concepts in strategic management including the examination of behavioral and economic approaches to strategy research and the relationship of other areas of research to strategy formulation and implementation. Prerequisite: BUS 720.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Analyze the key concepts, theories and interconnected research streams in strategic analysis and competitive strategy.
- Evaluate academic writing in the field of strategic analysis and competitive strategy.
- Apply the theoretical perspectives in strategic analysis and competitive strategy to contribute to the field through an appropriate research program.

Consequently, you would be required to take an active role in participating in the discussion of the reading materials in the online synchronous portion of the course. You must read all the assigned articles that are designated “Required Readings” and be prepared to discuss the salient issues in the articles.
