Course Description
Examines the effect of cultural differences on management in organizations. Provides students with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in managing people from diverse cultural backgrounds at the workplace. Prerequisite: Admitted to the M.S. in International Business, M.B.A., P.B.C. in Global Leadership and Strategy, or permission of the Program Director.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Evaluate and critique different definitions and models of culture.
- Generate strategies for working with individuals from different national cultures.
- Acquire the soft skills needed to manage in a global context.
- Apply effective managerial process including planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating, and monitoring workers in a global context.

Attendance/Participation:
Because this is an asynchronous course, there is no traditional attendance requirement. Students are expected to participate by completing all assignments, discussions, reflections, and other required course activities by the stated deadlines. Due dates are listed in the Course Overview document and on Canvas. Students are responsible for meeting these deadlines. The instructor reserves the right to modify course schedules or deadlines at their discretion, and any changes will be communicated through Canvas. Participation and timely completion of course requirements will be reflected in each students final course grade.
