Course Description
Planned work experience approved in advance by instructor. This is a web-based course that requires regularly scheduled work in an organization that sponsors your internship. In addition, the course requires reading, writing, and skill practice assignments. Prerequisite: Junior standing and written permission of the instructor; Notes: Open to all majors; Students who have prior credit for ENT 450 may not take BUS 450 for credit.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Understand the challenges and learn the best practices of international collaboration and international team management.
- Apply the knowledge and skills of international and cross-cultural management to practice.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of different international team coordination and management strategies.

Attendance/Participation:
This course has no traditional class-attendance requirement, since it is fully virtual and asynchronous. Active participation is graded directly through the Practical International Business Experience component (70% of the final grade), in which students serve as coaches and mentors to X-Culture Global Virtual Teams throughout the practicum period. A student who does not actively engage with their assigned teams loses these points regardless of other work submitted.
