Course Description
This course facilitates team work, collaboration and cultural intelligence through a global team project. Students participate in activities to improve their professional skills and career readiness in a global environment. Prerequisite: BUS 215 or BUS 216; concurrent enrollment in MGT 301 or previous credit for MGT 301; Junior standing; Students who are Majors in ACCT, BADM, CARS, CYBE, CYMA, ECOS, ENTR, FINC, HURM, INTB, ISSC, HTMT, or MKTG.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- EXPLAIN how and why the worlds cultures, countries, and regions differ.
- ARTICULATE how international business issues are related to ethics, corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
- ANALYZE international business theories and how they relate to current international business events.
- CREATE strategies and structures as they relate to international business trade and investment.

Attendance/Participation:
You must attend class to get the most out of this course. You should expect a deduction of up to the full 10 points from the participation grade for unexcused absences over 3 during the semester.
Your active and positive participation in class and during team discussions meetings is critical to comprehending the theories and skills covered in this course. You must attend class to participate but attendance alone is not participation. Participation is based on my assessment of the frequency and thoughtfulness of your in-class remarks. You should keep a diary of your comments on the back of your name card.
It is very import that you treat everyone in the class, guest lecturers and me in a professional manner. The tone, manner and appropriateness of your questions and comments will be a factor in this evaluation. Examples of unprofessional behavior include (but are not limited to): Arriving late to class. Submitting work late without a valid excuse then requesting an extension. Challenging grades without first understanding the grading rubric or assignment detail. Inappropriate deflection of blame for performance shortfalls on the instructor or others. Inappropriate use of a laptop or cell phone during class. Sending emails to me with questions that can be answered in either the syllabus or the assignment direction. Failure to respond to requests from me or classmates. Not checking your UNCG email regularly. All class communication by me to you as a student will be done through Announcements in Canvas and sent to your UNCG email.
