Course Description
This course focuses on the creation of interactive digital media using Unreal Engine with an emphasis on concepts of interaction design, advanced game design, narrative design, and game theory, while also developing technical skills in game mechanics using Blueprints. Prerequisite: ART 383; BFA Studio Art students concentrating in Animation, or permission of instructor.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Apply advanced principles of design, interactivity, and play to create games using UE5 and Blueprints.
Build and progress their knowledge in the aforementioned software from the foundational basics they learn in this class.
Plan, design, and create independent digital game projects with the mindset of a professional game designer and artist.

Attendance/Participation:
Attendance will be taken at the start of every class. Three unexcused absences will result in the loss of a letter grade off of your final grade.
Additionally, five unexcused absences will result in a failing grade.
