Attendance/Participation:
Attendance is mandatory during final reviews of the PowerPoint slide presentations. One absence on one of the two days of these presentations will result in the absent student receiving a 1 letter grade reduction to their final course grade. If a student is absent on both days, the student will get a 2 letter grade reduction for their final course grade.
Excessive attendance and tardiness will result in the student’s course grade being reduced accordingly.
Each student has an allotment of four (4) absences. Absences beyond this amount will result in the student’s course grade being lowered accordingly:
4 Absences = No reduction of the student's final grade
5 Absences = 1 full letter grade reduction of the student’s final grade
6 Absences = 2 full letter grade reduction of the student’s final grade
7 Absences = A student fails this course.
Each student has an allotment of four (4) tardies. Tardiness beyond this amount will result in the student’s course grade being lowered accordingly:
4 Tardies = no reduction of the final grade
5 Tardies = 1 full letter grade reduction of the student’s final grade
6 Tardies = 2 full letter grade reduction of the student’s final grade
7 Tardies = The student fails this course.
Each student has an allotment of two (2) missed and never submitted homework assignments. Excessive numbers of late and missed homework assignments will result in the student’s final course grade being reduced accordingly:
2 missed assignments = no reduction to the final grade.
3 missed assignments = final grade will be lowered by (1) one full letter grade.
4 missed assignments = final grade will be lowered by (2) two full letter grades.
