Course Description
Introduction to basic concepts and techniques of three-dimensional animation within a digital environment. Prerequisite: ART 240.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the 12 Principles of Animation
- Create emotive gestures and actions using increasingly complex characters
- Observe and dissect real world motion and translate it into their animated work
- Generate basic object rigs that allow for effective movement
- Show comprehension of quality staging practices through storyboarding, and produce visual research to support their cinematic vision and overall artistic direction

Attendance/Participation:
Attendance will be taken at the start of every class. More than four total absences will result in the loss of a letter grade off your final grade.
