Course Description
This course focuses on the creation of interactive media like video games. Students will get introduced to concepts of game design, interaction design, gameplay mechanics, game theory and digital production, while also developing creative skills to craft user driven stories. Prerequisite: ART 240.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Apply principles of design, interactivity, and play to create games.
Think, plan and approach game production with the mindset of a professional game designer and artist.
Create game levels in UEFN, an Unreal Engine-based tool for developing Fortnite levels.
Build and progress their knowledge in the aforementioned software from the foundational basics they learn in this class.

Attendance/Participation:
Attendance will be taken at the start of every class. Three unexcused absences will result in the loss of a letter grade off of your final grade. Additionally, five unexcused absences will result in a failing grade.
