Imaging II

Course Description

A studio-based exploration of digital image production for print and screen through a range of digital software and the use of DSLR cameras. Students explore color, value and composition through the use of natural and artificial lighting and the creation of narrative through complex composite photography. Prerequisite: ART 344.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • create original composite photographic works that communicate conceptual content and purpose
  • collaborate with peers in the development and critique of a photographic projects
  • explore models for the composition and presentation of imagery
  • understand how digital images are experienced, shared, and utilized for different contexts of site and audience both on and off the screen
