Course Grading Information:

Activity/Performance Measure Percentage/Points
Discussion assignment (weekly) 50 points
Studio assignment (weekly) 50 points

Weekly assignments are designed to lead you through the multiple parts of a larger project. There is a discussion assignment (50 pts) and a studio assignment (50 pts) each week. Each week is a total of 100 points.

For full credit each week (100 pts): attend the entire meeting session and participate fully, complete each weekly assignment and follow specific project guidelines, and submit your work on time. Assignments are posted each week. I will give a first midterm grade, a second midterm grade, and a final grade. Your midterm grades will not appear on your transcript or factor into official GPA calculations. Instead, it is intended to help you and your academic advisor understand how you are doing in the course up to that point. If you review your midterm grades and find it to be lower than you hoped, please make an appointment with me to discuss ways for you to improve.

Attendance/Participation:

It is expected that you participate weekly — by joining class meetings and by completing & submitting weekly assignments. Attendance on Tuesdays is mandatory and necessary. Meeting individually with me is also mandatory and necessary. It is expected that you sign up for those meetings. I strongly recommend that you schedule a minimum of three meetings throughout the semester.

If you are sick, have an emergency, must miss a meeting, or will be late, please email me in advance to let me know.
