Continuation of ART 221. Prerequisite: ART 221; Notes: May be repeated once for credit.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
Make advanced and ambitious life drawings.
Place greater emphasis on individual expression.
Work with the model as an observational reference for creating figurative works.
Address the intent and meaning of drawings in class using various methodologies.

Attendance/Participation:
After three absences your final grade will be lowered by one letter per absence.
Failure to comply with the following counts as half an absence.
Students should arrive on time and stay the duration of the class.
From the third week of class on, students should have adequate amounts of all required materials for working that day.
Students should maintain focus for the entire class.

Large sheets, or roll of quality paper (80lbs or heavier), approximately 42”x 10 yards

Varied erasers - Pink Pearl, Kneaded, Generals Factis/Vinyl, Gum
Chamois cloth
Masking Tape
Elmers’s glue
Scissors
At least one medium that has hue. Oil paint, Pastels, Gouche, etc…
A bag or box to carry materials
