Course Description

Students in this course create original works in video and animation as a method for analyzing a diverse array of animated works from around the globe. Prerequisite: ART 240 and ART 220.

Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

  • Recognize the significant contributions of animators in recent history from all parts of the globe

  • Dissect the technical and strategic processes used in crafting animation of all types for greater understanding

  • Bring the concepts and execution strategies utilized in the works screened into their own creative practice

Attendance/Participation:

Attendance will be taken at the start of every morning lab and afternoon film session. More than four total absences will result in the loss of a letter grade off your final grade.
