Attendance/Participation:

This course requires strict attendance. Two justified absences (medically excused, family emergencies, or instructor-approved emergency events) will be accepted without affecting your final grade. Absences beyond two will affect your final grade by one letter for each missed class. Five absences are equivalent to an automatic F grade. Two tardies and early leaves count as one absence. Absences due to religious reasons require makeup activities.

Ample time will be allotted for each activity and assignment. Therefore, late papers and assignments will not be accepted except under exceptional circumstances. In such cases, a conference with the faculty will be required.
