Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
To better understand the histories, religions and cultures of the global African Diaspora; to analyze a range of written, oral, and visual sources in the construction of history, religion and culture.

Attendance/Participation:
Beyond the first class of the semester, each absence will lead to a single-point reduction (out of total of 100 points) in the student’s overall grade in the course. Absence constitutes failure to complete the in-class participation exercise.
