Course Description
In-depth study and review of tax reporting requirements and tax planning techniques. Prerequisite: ACC 651 and permission of instructor or Program Director; Notes: Only offered online.

Student Learning Outcomes, Goals, Objectives:
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Explain tax reporting and planning consideration for gross income, inclusions, and exclusions as it relates to individuals.
- Calculate ordinary and capital gains and losses of asset transactions.
- Evaluate tax accounting methods for different business entities.
- Apply the factors impacting various taxpaying entities and vehicles to specific business situations.
- Describe basic multijurisdictional tax issues for local, state, and international issues.
- Discuss tax implications as it relates to the overall financial plan and framework for individual taxpayers.
- Describe tax-exempt status and unrelated business income (UBI) concepts.
- Apply tax research techniques.
